Ojore Lutalo Arrested on Way Home from LA Anarchist Bookfair!

Ojore Lutalo – former Political Prisoner and speaker at the 2nd Los Angeles Anarchist Book Fair – was arrested on an Amtrak train in Colorado on Tuesday evening, January 26, 2010, on his way back to the East Coast from Los Angeles. He is in custody in La Junta, Colorado, far from home. Today his bond was set at $30,000. ABCF has been coordinating his support and they have secured a bonds person that will post bond for Ojore’s release at the cost of $3,010.

Ojore, who recently won his release from prison in August 2009, spoke on a Political Prisoner panel last Sunday the 24th at the Los Angeles Anarchist Book Fair. On Tuesday at about 8 p.m., state police pulled him off his train and arrested him, charging him with “endangering public transportation.” He had been on the train since Monday evening without incident.

As of 9:30pm Mountain Time, Ojore is out and on his way to Denver. Thanks to everyone that helped make that possible.
Bond was posted at the cost of $4,500. This cost has been fronted by
various amazing folks from across the co...untry,
but much of this money is being loaned. Ojore is in major need of
donations to help pay these loans back!
