National Convergence of Workers in Kansas City, MO
We are in the planning stages of organizing a national May Day 2006 event in Kansas City, MO. Right now, we are in the process of lining up speakers and music. We have established contact with Boots Riley, rap artist from "The Coup" and legendary labor leader General Gordon Baker from the Dodge Revolutionary Union Movement in Detroit. The online organizational center is www.mayday2006.com
i always thought that having speakers etc just replicates hierarchies of who has the right to speak etc. rhetoric seems to be quite an alienated form of communication.
Meanwhile, Diaz and Rodriguez planned to announce today their next major action: a call to boycott work, school and all consumer activities May 1. They are calling it "The Great American Boycott of 2006."
Is that what you're talking about? We need to get on this hardcore!
Javier Rodriquez beieves that Americans have become inured to the illegal alien issue. Wrong! Javier's saying it does not make his wishful thinking so. American citizens have had their fill; perhaps it's time they did some demonstrating of their own.
This naturalized citizen waited his turn for a year while being vetted, cleared medically, and having demonstrated that he would not be a burden to the state. We are a nation of laws; cross the border illegally, and you break the law.
When will the Mexican illegals hold the corrupt governments of Mexico (a long series of such) responsible for their ongoing socal failures? Or is that considered beyond the pale.

i think having a equal amount of time as there was for the "sheduled" speakers for an open mic voids that...
The Los Angeles Times reported yesterday morning that Javier Rodriguez has called for a nationwide boycott/strike this May Day.
We need confirmation. Please help.
Our "small" group will attempt to have 12,000 troqueros in the Port of Los Angeles participate. We did it in 2004 and can and will do it again!
Solidarity,
ernie
