Political Declaration of the 5th General Assembly of the Red Libertaria Popular Mateo Kramer

Amidst an ambiance of solidarity, strong affective ties, intense debates, delicious vegan food and artistic expression, we had, over two days and two nights, our 5th Assembly. With an impressive level of attendance and showing of political maturity, the 12 collectives that form the network arrived at the following agreements:
  • The network will continue the Campaign for the De-control of our lives with the purpose of fighting against the militarization of Bogota and Cundinamarca. We believe that it is urgent that, as youth, we organize ourselves against obligatory military service, youth repression, the new model of civil security, imperialism and its military bases and unite together in favor of conscientious objection, for a life with dignity and the unity of Latin American peoples.

  • The network confirms its participation in the 3rd October Youth Coordination (Coordinadora Juvenil 3 de Octubre) that articulates and strengthens ties of unity oriented at the construction of popular youth power in Bogota and Cundinamarca. Therefore, the network re-states its will to fight for a dignified life, against the criminalization of the young, for sovereignty and the preservation of the environment and against the Gringo military bases, for counterculture and counter-informational expression, against the militarization of life, for a worthy job and against the precarious and informal nature of youth employment, for quality secondary education and access to superior education, for the anti-patriarchal, feminist fight.

  • The network will continue participating, as coordinator, in the Congress of Peoples (Congreso de los Pueblos), contributing with other organizations to the formation of a Youth Mandate.

  • The network reaffirms its principle of Popular Environmentalism as a popular fight for the defense of a communal relationship with the environment, national sovereignty and organized action against environmental degradation caused by capitalism.
