We mourn the murder of Juliano Mer-Khamis, 52, Israeli actor, director and rights activist killed by masked gunmen outside the theater he founded in the Jenin refugee camp as a bridge to peace. The son of a Jewish mother and Arab father, he was a symbol of resistance who believed in the "fire" of thought, art and the written word.
