Change of Name and Entry into the FAO
Organização Anarquista Socialismo Libertário (OASL)
The former Anarchist Federation of Sao Paulo (Federação Anarquista de São Paulo - FASP) will, from now on, be called the "Organização Anarquista Socialismo Libertário" (OASL - Libertarian Socialism Anarchist Organisation).
After more than three years building a specific anarchist organisation in the state of Sao Paulo - two of which functioning as 'pro-organisation' and, since its founding, as an actual organisation - the organisation has, for different reasons, changed its name certain that what is really relevant are the principles of especifista anarchism and their basis for action and mobilisation together with popular organisations having as an objective social revolution and libertarian socialism.
Forum of Organised Anarchism (FAO):
The OASL also publicly announces its entry into the Forum of Organised Anarchism (Fórum do Anarquismo Organizado - FAO); a space which, since 2002, has promoted discussion and the articulation of anarchist groups and organisations committed to working in an organised manner, acting socially.
As an organisation that, in the principles of especifista anarchism, has its basis for action and mobilisation among the popular sectors, we understand the strengthening and growth of this space of articulation between anarchist organisations to be of fundamental importance, in order to create, as the FAO itself argues, "the conditions for the construction of an anarchist organisation in Brazil".
Thus the OASL commits itself, together with the other member organisations of the FAO, to start working from now to create the conditions necessary for the consolidation of this larger objective.
Health and Libertarian Socialism!
