Denmark: 3rd Annual Congress of Libertære Socialister

On the weekend of 18-19 June 2011, Libertære Socialister held its 3rd Annual Congress in Vejle. It was a congress with a lot of good political discussions and a relaxed atmosphere. [Dansk]

We also took the opportunity to adopt a series of modifications to our internal regulations, so it is now possible to be a supporter member of LS. Supporter Membership is aimed at people who do not want to participate actively in the Federation's local groups but do want to support LS financially. As a supporting member, you will receive the magazine "Direkte Aktion" and other similar publications as they come out, and you are invited to participate in activities in your local area. LS places a great emphasis on international cooperation, so LS is a part of the Anarkismo network through which we cooperate with anarchist organizations all over the orld. In order to better participate in this international work, and in general to strengthen our relationship with anarchists in the rest of the world, we have created a new position, the International Secretary, whose task is to deal with these matters. The International Secretary will also represent LS in the Anarismo European Coordination Committee, the Anarkismo.net Editorial Group and the Anarchist Black Cat (Anarkismo's international debate forum) Moderators' Group.

Another important decision made by Congress was to continue publication of "Direkte Aktion". So far, we have published one and a half issues of the magazine, but in future it will come out as a free 8-sided quarterly publiction. The emphasis will be on background information, analysis and theory, and to a lesser extent news stories, which will instead appear on our website. Compilation of "Direkte Aktion" will be entrusted to an Editorial Group, which will also be responsible for the content on our website.

Last but not least, we would like to say a big thanks to the cool activists of 6000DIY, who served up delicious food and made it possible for us to hold the Congress.
