Some changes on Anarkismo.net

category elsewhere | anarchist movement | news report author Monday February 13, 2006 19:21author by Andrew - Anarkismo Report this post to the editors

Regular users of the site may have noticed two changes in recent weeks. Details of them follow.

1. The South America region has been split into four separate regions.
This is to make it easier to find an article from one of the countries in each of the new regions. After discussion by the editoral group South America has been split into

  • Bolivia/Peru/Ecuador/Chile
  • Venezuela/Colombia
  • Argentina/Uruguay/Paraguay
  • Brazil/Guyana/Suriname/F. Guiana
All the 250 or so existing articles in South America should by now have been moved into the correct region - use the contact form to let us know if there are any we have missed

2. The Events type has now been changed to Anarchist-communist events and anarchist communist event posts now appear on the main newswire as well as in the Anarchist-communist events box.
This is to emphasise events that the organisations who are in agreement with the site's editoral guidelines are organising, are involved in, or support. Other events should now be posted with either the type 'non-anarchist press' (eg for a general anti-war march) or 'Other libertarian press' (eg for an anarchist meeting or event).
