For the first time, I looked through the site of your magazine. For whatever my opinion is worth, I want to say how impressive the journal is. Short but well-written articles. Fine illustrations. Excellent spread of topics, including on women's liberation and its relation to class. All very good. Perhaps sometime you will write an article telling us (the international anarchist movement) your experience in putting the journal together, in distributing it, and what response you get from readers. Keep up the good work!

The European organizations which are part of the Anarkismo network met on the 18th and 19th of November in Genoa. We discussed and exchanged, thought and reflected together, attempting as a network to plan a strategy for forward movement. Delegations from Wales, France, Italy, Switzerland and Ireland - with a warm solidarity statement from our Catalan comrades of Embat - expressed the need to clarify and deepen our common work.

The Anarkismo network has already published a statement that it would wait until all parts of the accusations by Reid Ross and Stephens were published, as well as the answers of M. Schmidt, before making any judgements on the case. Now that this has been forthcoming, as well as two more responses by Reid Ross, we are issuing a second statement to make public our intentions regarding the present situation.

We are very pleased to be able to congratulate you on the realisation of your First Congress as a specific anarchist political organisation. In light of the disbanding of the Federación Anarco-Comunista Argentina we believe that this is a very important step both for our shared especifista tendency as well as for the development of anarchism in general, both in Argentina and the region.

textReport from St. Imier International Congress, 8th-12th August 2012 23:28 Mo 10 Sep by Collective Action 0 comments

This year marks the 140 year anniversary of the first anarchist International held at St.Imier, Switzerland, in 1872. In celebration of the anniversary an international gathering was called in St.Imier in mid-August. A contingent of Collective Action militants attended the gathering along with thousands of other anarchists from around the world to discuss politics, create new international ties and, of course, have some fun.

August saw a gathering of a couple of thousand anarchists from all over the globe in St Imier, Switzerland. This small town was the site of the founding of the Anarchist International in 1872, the gathering was organised to commemorate this event and involved dozens of political, organisational & cultural events. As part of this gathering Anarkismo, the international network that the WSM is the Irish section of, held both a European conference and a global gathering. [Italiano]

textWill the revolution be anarchist/libertarian-communist/socialist? Mär 27 by Ilan S 0 comments

The revolution that will put end to the global capitalist system will survive if it will succeed in a very short time to replace the authoritarian power structure with a direct democracy one, in a big enough part of the developed world, that will be able to survive independently and protect itself.

textOur struggle must goes beyond what our lifestyle demands Aug 02 by Zaher Baher 0 comments

This article points out a couple of issues that are slowing down our movement. They are single issue and individualism & lifestyle. Many of our comrades in UK an Europe work only on a single issue, in addition some of us do not try hard enough beyond our lifestyle . Of course, our weaknesses are not only these two , in fact there are many more but in this article I just concentrate on these two.

Now, the way to take will be to create a new model organization: a Confederation of Autonomous Municipalities/Communities.

imageWhat is an Anarchist? Am I an Anarchist? Mai 11 by Wayne Price 1 comments

Anarchism is an uncertain term. Self-identified anarchists sometimes see their particular school of anarchism as the only legitimate type of anarchism. For example, I have been told that I am not an anarchist or that what I believe is not anarchism. This happens most often over discussions about anarchism and radical democracy, or anarchism\'s use of aspects of Marxism, or support for technology, or advocacy of the self-organization of revolutionary anarchists.

imageOn the Question of Violence and Nonviolence As a Tactic and Strategy Within the Social Protest Movem... Apr 13 by David Van Deusen 0 comments

Nonviolence can be used in many circumstances as an effective tactic, but it is irrelevant, irresponsible, and utterly ridiculous to even consider it as a strategy. So yes, nonviolence should be utilized as a tactic where pertinent, and in turn pacifism, as an ideology and a strategy, must be purged from our movement.
