Embargo, cutting off water sources and air strikes against civilians have been some of the war crimes committed by the fascist Turkish state throughout this year against the revolution in Rojava. The UCL participated in the European delegation to observe the Turkish war crimes in Iraqi Kurdistan.
We – nearly 150 politicians, human rights advocates, journalists, academics, members of parliaments, political activists, ecologists, and feminists from all over Europe – have been closely following the dangerous developments resulting from Turkey’s attacks on South Kurdistan (North Iraq) since the 23rd of April 2021. As a result, we have gathered in Erbil today and decided that we must speak out. Only solidarity between the oppressed people of Palestine and the working classes of the world can end the occupation. We call on the international anarchist movement and all working-class rebels to join us in denouncing the Israeli occupation of Palestine and supporting resistance to it. The support and solidarity with innocent people can be done in different ways. It can be through launching complaints, expressing anger and frustration, protests, and demonstrations. The best kind of support and solidarity is boycotting all the goods that are made in Turkey and by Turkish companies wherever they are. Boycotting its media, universities, language colleges and stopping holiday bookings to Turkey. While Turkey has got so many interests in Iraqi Kurdistan the boycott is very effective. Turkey has hundreds of companies plus colleges, shops, factories there, and it is the main country for Kurdish holiday makers. In short Iraqi Kurdistan is one of the main market for the Turkish capitalists and the others. Boycotting Turkey and the Turkish goods can also put pressure on the Kurdistan Reginal Government, KRG, Iraq and the foreign companies to meet people’s demand. COVID-19, which has quarantined an innumerable number of cities and has paralyzed entire economic sectors, has not yet stopped the continuous dirty war by Turkey and its ally Daesh against the people of the northern region of Syria, who have had to continue to defend themselves without any truce. The long-awaited developments began to happen In Idlib where is the last point of the war and also the last point of the djihadist gangs supported by TAF were stucked. The troops of the TAF were attacked by aerial strike on the night of 27 February to 28 -shortly before the “ultimatum” that T.C gave to the Syrian Army to withdraw from the places it took in Idlip- According to official figures, 34 soldiers died as a result of this airstrike, It was carried out by Syria according to T.C sources. We are against the war, but we support and defending people against the attacks that they face. We offer our solidarity towards those facing invasion and repression.
Afrin belongs to the peoples of Afrin. Peoples living in Afrin were born in these lands and died in these lands. Living there is not related to any plans or programs. They are not in Afrin as part of a strategy. Afrin, for them is water, bread, food, play, stories, friends, mates, lovers, streets, homes, neighborhoods. But for the state, it is only a strategy. The Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group’s solution to the oppression of the Palestinians is the same as for oppression everywhere. The problems of capitalism can only be solved by workers’ revolution.In Palestine, that means defeating Zionism and replacing it with the No State Solution, a society of libertarian communism that operates on the basis of consistent federalism.

This article is a brief analysing of the future of Rojava in Syria in Line with the attack of Assad’s forces on Idlib’s Province . The battle of Idlib can be a crucial one for all sides who are involve especially for the regime and the Kurdish in Rojava . There are few scenarios that the Kurdish forces there and its self rule administration are facing . Spring zu Komment: 1 2 3It is unclear from this statement whether the KAF is for or against the Kurdish people waging a just war of defense against the aggression by the Turkish imperialist state. To do this would require using the militia (the statement denounces all militias) and require warfare (the statement rejects all war). Yet the statement speaks of the Kurds' "legitimate defense." Do they mean a "defense" solely by Ganhdian nonviolence or do they support the armed struggle of the Kurdish peop[e?
We do not believe that it is the Libertarian Socialist, because what was built there is a government, a small state, it is a power above people, it is mainly a power of one political party, PYD. It is true that there have been parties involved, but they have no real power and very much dependent of PYD. We know that self-administration in Rojava is very much different from the kind of autonomies that people actually have it and formed through direct democracy. In Rojava’s self- Administration all the decision making done by PYD not by the people in Rojava. PYD leads politics in Rojava , who is making important decision on peace and war and others without going back not just to people even does not consult the administration and the Tev-Dem. We have example: In its pack with US PYD never consulted its people even in its agreement with UNKS that we mentioned in our statement, PYD made important decision alone.

The response by of the KAF is disappointing. They answer the question, Is Rojava a libertarian socialist communal society? They argue that it is not. Whatever its virtues, the Rojavian community is still a state and not a socialist society. Okay, I mainly agree.
But I asked a different question: "whether the KAF is for or against the Kurdish people waging a just war of defense against the aggression by the Turkish imperialist state. ... do they support the armed struggle of the Kurdish peop[e?" They do not answer this.
The Kurdish people should be able to determine their own future. They should be able to decide if they want a non-state communal federation (the anarchist opinion) or a state of their own or autonomous regions within existing states. That should be up to the Kurds. It is not the job of big states to impose their rule on the Kurds. Therefore anarchists and other libertarian socialists should support the armed self-defense of the Kurdish people.
The KAF statement sounds like it would support the Kurdish resistance only if the Kurds were in an anarchist federation. Otherwise, the Kurds are no better than the Turkish invaders. I give full credit to the KAF for upholding anarchism in a difficult situation. But our support to the Kurdish people should not depend on whether they agree with anarchism.
