Part 1 of an Educational Series on Alternatives to Capitalism
In this education series we look at experiments, which have arisen through working class struggles, to create alternatives to capitalism. This will include looking at present and past alternatives to capitalism. In doing this, we are not saying these experiments should be carbon copied – they have often taken place in very different times and contexts.
Rojava is an outcome of the struggle that has been waged by the Kurds for national liberation. Nonetheless, it has gone beyond even national liberation and has become an experiment to create a confederation of worker and community councils and communes to replace capitalism and the state.

Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle expand to the Sheikh Jarrah and Gaza cases 15:53 Mo 28 Dez 0 comments
This week the focus was on the straggle against transfer in Seikh Jarrah, and a one year "aniversory" to the Israeli war crime onslout on the Gaza strip - the world largest concentration camp. In Sheikh Jarrah activists tried to help during the week - in addition to the Friday demonstration. For gaza, we both participated in the joint demonstration on Saturday evening in Jaffa and in Sunday walking on the Zikim beach towards Gaza. The usual Friday demonstrations in Bil'in and Ma'asera were adhered to. The Ni'ilin Friday demonstration was preceded with a second demo in Shukba.

Sunday had again a demonstration in Tel Aviv protesting the persecution of "New Profile" that support refusnics. Last Saturday as during the previous weeks comrades escorted Saffa Palestinins (neighboring the settler colonialist Bat Ain terrorists) to their fields. In protest to occupation persecution of popular comity members arrested, an enhanced mobilization from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem succeeded in part to arrive at the joint demo.
Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle continues - weekdays and weekend 17:36 So 12 Apr 0 comments
Comrades of Anarchists Against the Wall participated in the continuous struggle against evictions and demolitions of houses of Palestinian families in the extended Jerusalem region (Silwan and Sheikh Jarakh mainly). Wednesday we were in Ni'ilin. Friday was focussed on the demonstrations against the separation fence and occupation in Bil'in, Ni'ilin, and Um Salmuna. As there is no supreme joy as the malicious joy, we had such huge joy in Bil'in, when the stupid state forces found that the eastern wind carry the tear gas they shoot on us towards them. Bil'in struggle still get into the the main TV media. Previous Friday TV news brought a clip about shooting contradicting regulations. [Italiano]
Rojava - Revolution Between a Rock and a Hard Place Mai 13 0 comments
Revolutions are seldom made in favourable circumstances. Russia 1917 emerged from the mass slaughter of WWI and the disintegration of an economy under the pressure of the supply demands of that war. Spain 1936 emerged from a well planned and executed fascist coup amongst a powerful military backed and armed by international fascism. Schemas for revolution that depend on quiet times and plenty may well be doomed from the start.

From 1962 to 2000, the Israeli far left was embodied by Matzpen, a newspaper and an organization that left a strong mark on the Israeli peace and pro-Palestinian movements.

The majority of the Arab masses can just observe what is going on, filled with outrage and anger. This is due mainly to the general atmosphere of fear and their marginalization, strongly maintained by the ruling elites. Only a small minority of politically active individuals are participating in protests on the streets. [Nederlands] [Ελληνικά] [Castellano] [Türkçe]
