[Portugal] Call for Articles for the 3rd. «Caderno Luta Social»
As you know, when we decided in 2007 to start the «Cadernos Luta Social» publication, we had designed it from the start as a wide open publication, either to collaborations from this country, or from other parts of the world.
Now it's mid-summer, but we don't forget the tasks we have to accomplish in the next autumn winter seasons. The «Luta Social» has strenghten itself this last period with the various militants joining our ranks, gathering dynamism, participating in various projects, according to our capacities.
As you know, when we decided in 2007 to start the «Cadernos Luta Social» publication, we had designed it from the start as a wide open publication, either to collaborations from this country, or from other parts of the world. And also, we desire that various trends and currents - in the ideological and strategical anti-capitalist anti-autoritarian spectrum - may have here a space and show interest in express themselves in this pages.
A the other issues this # 3 Cadernos will have a paper version and an internet one (in pdf. format) and will be vastly distributed. We have chosen 30th november as publishing dead-line for theis #3 issue, that should be on the streets by early december 2008.
The main subject will be unions and syndicalism.
We want, mainly, to analyse the nature, the social role, the real practices from existing unions. Among those, we will specially analyse the unions and currents which better fullfil the class independence criteria, grass-roots democracy (direct democracy) and direct action, requirents. We will emphasize the struggles concerning the most exploited segments of workers class, in the difficult fronts of precarious jobs, immigrant exploitation, transversal struggles against discriminations, be they sexist, homophobic, racist, etc.
We are also interested in repports on union and social struggles, where anti-capitalist and anti-autoritarian militants and unions were protagonists.
Finally we will discuss self-organisation possibilities, with special focus in portuguese society, as social active militants, what are the options we have and their «pros and cons».
We wait many articles propositions* from you for the number 3 issue of the «Cadernos Luta Social», and salute the organisations and individuals, in Portugal and worldwide, who have been at our side in the allways renewed combat for the emmancipation and liberation from the material and ideological yoke of capitalism, sure that ...
«the workers emmancipation shall be the deed of themselves»!
