Black Cat Press is blij dat het de publicatie kan aankondigen van "Revolution" door Carlo Cafiero, voor het eerst in het Engels (inderdaad, het is ook nog nooit als een volledig boek in het oorspronkelijke Italiaans verschenen!). Het boek brengt wat zeker Cafiero's meest volledige, oorspronkelijke werk is, voor een Engels-sprekend publiek voor het eerst. Het is ook een extreem belangrijk werk, in die zin dat het een van de vroegste pogingen is om een volledig theoretisch inzicht te geven over het revolutionaire ideaal van het anarchistische communisme. In celebration of the anniversary an international gathering was called in St.Imier in mid-August. August saw a gathering of a couple of thousand anarchists from all over the globe in St Imier, Switzerland. This small town was the site of the founding of the Anarchist International in 1872, the gathering was organised to commemorate this event and involved dozens of political, organisational & cultural events. As part of this gathering Anarkismo, the international network that the WSM is the Irish section of, held both a European conference and a global gathering. [Italiano]

Black Cat Press è lieta di annunciare l'uscita di "Revolution" di Carlo Cafiero per la prima volta assoluta in lingua inglese (ma va detto che ancora non esiste una pubblicazione completa dell'opera di Cafiero in italiano!). Il libro propone al pubblico anglofono per la prima volta il pensiero di Cafiero nella sua forma più completa ed originale. Si tratta anche di un lavoro di estrema importanza perché viene proposto uno dei primi tentativi di definire una completa visione dell'ideale rivoluzionario del comunismo anarchico. Black Cat Press is pleased to announce the publication of "Revolution" by Carlo Cafiero for the first time ever in English (indeed nor has it ever been published as a complete volume in the original Italian!). The book brings what is certainly Cafiero's most complete, original work to English-speaking audiences for the first time. It is also an extremely important work in that it is one of the earliest attempts at compiling a complete theoretical view of the revolutionary ideal of anarchist communism. I’ve just come back from visiting the Kate Sharpley Library in California. Things have changed from the days when I could get there on the bus and we were buying our first filing cabinet. Lots of filing cabinets now, as well as boxes like the Left Bank Books archive. There are two possible futures. In one of them, the conflicts between the imperialist countries, and between them and China, will grow until some miscalculation leads to a nuclear war which could destroy humanity. The other possibility, the only means of avoiding that fate, is a workers' revolution to abolish capitalism and eliminate the causes of war. We can do it and we start by building the labour movement and taking a stand against militarism today.
