Following the refusal of Mubarak to resign a mob of his supporters attempted to fight their way into Tahir square in Cairo where anti-Mubarak protests demanding democracy have rallied over the last week. Some of the mob who have been captured were carrying police ID's. The intention appears to be to either drive the democracy protesters off the streets and/or create an excuse for army intervention to 'restore stability,' something the official opposition is now calling for. Es trágico que las cosas sean tan fáciles para la clase capitalista europea. Es difícil para todos nosotros reaccionar adecuadamente a un clima político y social que nos está llevando, a los explotados, al borde de la desesperación. Pero ello no debe ser una excusa para hallar refugio en la vieja ilusión de la “propaganda por el hecho” y el deseo de cambiar la sociedad a través de actos de violencia individuales. The prisoners in Macon, Hays, Telfair, Baldwin, Valdosta, and Smith state prisons do not have picket signs we can read, no do they have speeches that can be read out loud to us. We cannot see their faces or hear their voices. They are mostly invisible to us. It is now up to us to break though this wall of invisibility purposely imposed upon us and prisoners, by those who control society and our lives. Bernardo Salgueiro y Rosemarie Cupeña fueron asesinados por las balas policiales. El día viernes, nuevos enfrentamientos causaron la muerte de Juan Quispe Castañares y Juan Valero y cerca de 30 heridos.
