O Estado de Mato Grosso nos últimos 10 anos destacou-se na mídia nacional como um grande produtor da monocultura da soja e da cana-de-açúcar, exportando sua produção para outros Estados e países. Por detrás de toda essa “grande produção” temos práticas de trabalho escravo e assassinatos decorrentes à invasão de pequenas propriedades para o aumento da área de plantio e gerando uma enorme destruição ambiental nessas regiões. Esse mesmo plantio serve somente para a exportação aos países de primeiro mundo e fábricas de rações destinadas ao gado de corte que no Estado vem beneficiando a poucos que concentram imensas fortunas em suas mãos.
