Στην εποχή της πιό βαθειάς κρίσης του καπιταλισμού, όταν τα κριτήρια του κεφαλαίου άρχισαν να ορίζουν με ιλιγγιώδη ταχύτητα τον νέο μεσαίωνα για την ανθρωπότητα με στόχο την εγκαθίδρυση μιας νέας πολιτικής και οικονομικής εξουσίας, ενός σύγχρονου ολοκληρωτισμού, ένα μεγάλο κομμάτι της κοινωνίας φάνηκε να αρχίζει να συνειδητοποιεί την φύση του συστήματος, ότι δηλαδή ζούμε σε ένα καθεστώς δημοκρατικής βιτρίνας και φασιστικής ουσίας,να αποστασιοποιείται από τα κόμματα και να οδηγείται σταδιακά στην απαξίωση και απονομιμοποίηση του ευρύτερου πολιτικού συστήματος. read full story / add a comment

Se cumplen 11 años de uno de los levantamientos más importantes ocurridos en la Argentina del que podamos tener memoria, desde la última dictadura militar. Para muchxs de los compañeros y compañeras organizadas en la FOB esta fecha trae recuerdos incluso muy anteriores al 19 y 20, recuerdos de luchas, movilizaciones, protestas y cortes de ruta, allá por finales de los 90 y comienzos del 2000, cuando comenzó a oírse venir desde lejos, por lo bajo pero con mucha fuerza el YA BASTA!! de lxs de abajo. Porque no queríamos más mentiras, porque no queríamos seguir siendo lxs excluidxs del mapa, porque los políticos, los partidos, los empresarios y los poderosos de la clase dominante en general seguían empujándonos hacia afuera y pisoteándonos hacia abajo, con hambre, con desocupación, con desidia, con violencia y con represión. read full story / add a comment

The failure so far of the political efforts by the Palestinian Authority to bring substantial results may increase the accumulation of frustration to the point that it may explode. The initial increase of non-armed local struggles is approaching explosion point in spite of the call by the Palestinian Authority to limit the struggle to the international political arena. In addition to the locations of the ongoing struggles, other locations are initiating such struggles. Beit Nuba and al-Mufakara are just two examples. The intensification of harassment up to the use of live ammunition during weekday raids in Ni'lin and Nabi Saleh may be part of other harassment by the Israeli state forces, whose escalation seems to ber aimed at initiating a Third Intifada. Slovenia is being shaken by the first massive revolt in two decades and the first that is predominantly oriented against political establishment, austerity measures and is in some cities already gaining anti-capitalist character. In less than three weeks there have been 35 protests in 18 cities, where more then 70.000 people participated altogether. Protests often turn into clashes with police that is violently breaking up the demonstrations. 284 people were arrested, some released, some not. Many people have been injured. La Slovenia è scossa dalla prima rivolta di massa degli ultimi 20 anni e dalla prima rivolta in assoluto contro il sistema politico, contro le politiche di austerity, tanto che in alcune città sta assumendo un carattere anti-capitalista. In meno di tre settimane ci sono state 35 manifestazioni in 18 città, dove più di 70.000 persone sono scese in piazza insieme. Dopo la grossa sconfitta politica di Israele nell'attacco a Gaza e dopo la successiva sconfitta negli USA, la repressione messa in atto dalle forze di stato israeliane nei confronti delle manifestazioni settimanali ha dovuto fare i conti con ordini di contenimento. Lo si è visto in video in alcuni casi in cui piccole unità di soldati si sono date alla fuga di fronte al lancio di pietre dei giovani: un video dei più eloquenti è stato mandato e rimandato in onda sui canali TV israeliani. After the mainly political defeat of Israel in the attack on Gaza and the following defeat in the US, the Israeli state forces repression of the weekly demonstrations was met with restraining orders. It was expressed in a few cases of small units of soldiers escaping from stone-throwing youth - the video of the most pictorial one played again and again on Israeli TV channels. Rightist "talking heads" complained that the fleeing soldiers insulted Israel and harsher measures must be taken. The more realistic ones pointed to the international loss of respect for Israel that harmed protesters would aggravate. In addition to the usual Beit Ummar, Bil'in, Al-Ma'sara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'lin, Qaddum, South Hebron hills, and Sheikh Jarrah, there was the addition this week of Kufr ad-Dik and Krayut. Dopo anni di lotta persistente le prime crepe emettono una piacevole melodia. Il dolore dei caduti, dei feriti e di coloro che soffrono più di altri viene un po' mitigato dalla sconfitta subita da Israele a Gaza ed all'ONU. Sembra che la Tsumud, la resistenza e la lotta popolare non-armata stia iniziando a cambiare il corso delle cose in campo internazionale. Vediamo e rivediamo ancora una volta che quando la bilancia è in equilibrio, anche un piccolo gruppo di attivisti che persistono nella lotta può fare la differenza. After years of persistent struggle the first cracks emit a more pleasant melody. The pains of the fallen, the injured, and these suffering more than others is softened a bit by the defeat of Israel in Gaza and the UN. It seems that the Tsumud, the resistance and the popular unarmed struggle start to change the flow of things in the international arena. We see it again and again that when the scales are in balance, even a small group of activists who persist in struggle can tip the scales. The joint struggle contribute its share in obstructing the efforts of the Israeli establishment to equate the struggle against Israel with antisemitism.
