Dear Comrades, The next issue of our monthly anarchist newspaper Meydan is going to be prepared by Anarchist Women only, as for all March issues. In this issue, we are going to focus on the systematic violence against women, on this violence becoming a state policy and we are going to talk about being a woman in war conditions that we are currently in. The massacres in the North of Kurdistan has been steadily increasing especially since August, and these war conditions bring about many cases in which the women are used as tool for the war. As seen in many wars throughout history, women are forced to migrate from the lands that are looted by war in our geography. En los últimos dos días la noticia que ha conmocionado al país es la de una supuesta red de prostitución masculina en el seno de la Policía Nacional y que cuenta con la participación de altos funcionarios públicos. Esto gracias a la divulgación de un vídeo que hace parte del corpus de pruebas que la Procuraduría General ha construido para iniciar un proceso en la Fiscalía a los funcionarios implicados. I collected over one hundred personal narratives from middle class women activists of different generations. As anarchist-communists, we oppose sexism whenever and wherever it exists, although we also realise that class position differentiates the experience of sexism. We salute all the woman freedom fighters, and the older generation of women, many our mothers, who bear the scars of the gruesome battles in which they stood firm, fighting the oppression imposed on the African native by colonial conquest.
There were hard times in the apartheid era, where black women were abused, raped and oppressed: the state did nothing to stop this, but aided it, as the state was part of the system of oppression. History shows that dispossession and systematic dehumanization for the purposes of exploitation and domination were undertaken through the uncontrolled and coercive mayhem of the South African state. read full story / add a comment

Las hermanas Mirabal lucharon contra la tiranía de Trujillo [República Dominicana], fueron activistas por los derechos humanos, mujeres revolucionarias, y por eso fueron perseguidas, encarceladas hasta ser eliminadas. Uno de los temas más estratégicos para las feministas de diferentes regiones, es el concerniente a la esfera de la sexualidad y la reproducción, puesto que el patriarcado y la heteronormatividad generan desigualdades y discriminación que se asientan principalmente en el control del cuerpo. La hegemonía sobre la sexualidad y la reproducción es defendida con uñas y dientes por la derecha y los sectores más conservadores. Le mouvement féministe est actuellement très disparate, divisé, voire dans une logique de confrontation. Il convient alors de parler de féminismes plutôt que de féminisme, afin de mettre en avant la diversité des courants de pensée au sein du mouvement féministe .La loi sur le voile de 2004 (loi interdisant le port de signes religieux dans les écoles publiques) et loi pour "la lutte contre le système prostitutionnel" (particulièrement les dispositions concernant la pénalisation des clients) clivent les féministes, affectant considérablement la visibilité et la crédibilité du mouvement. read full story / add a comment
