E' dura per molti attivisti, quando il significato reale della lotta non si concretizza in conquiste tangibili, ma in una lotta globale a livello mondiale. Questa settimana, il livello globale e quello della concretezza si sono combinati nella lotta contro la distruzione del villaggio di Susiya che ha avuto eco e sostegno a livello internazionale, costringendo Israele a rinviare se non a cancellare la demolizione del villaggio. Alle pressioni delle potenze imperiali su Israele si è aggiunto l'avvertimento della UE sull'approssimarsi di sanzioni contro il sistema bancario israeliano per il suo sostegno ai progetti dei coloni nella Cisgiordania occupata. Hace mas de tres años el gobierno colombiano y las Farc-Ep vienen negociando el fin al conflicto armado, que ha silenciado la voz de miles de oprimidos y ha convertido las tierras del país en una fosa común al servicio de las clases dominantes y los intereses de las multinacionales extranjeras. No obstante, esas negociaciones no han sido más que retorica barata para ocultar la verdadera dimensión de un conflicto social y político que todavía sigue destruyendo los sueños de cientos de jóvenes rebeldes y perpetuando un sistema económico injusto, desigual y criminal, que beneficia la billetera de unos pocas familias mientras la mayoría empobrecida se ve en la triste necesidad de auto-explotarse, entregarle la vida a un trabajo indigno y quedarse callada frente a los atropellos cometidos por los cuerpos represivos del Estado y la herramienta para-militar. read full story / add a comment

Frente a la empresa de Cadbury-Chiclets Adams en el barrio Calima de la ciudad de Cali, los obreros se han agrupado en “carpas de la resistencia” para protestar por el cierre de la empresa, propiedad de Mondelēz Internacional, multinacional norteamericana, que produce una serie de productos, entre ellos las galletas Oreo, Motitas, Sparkies, Halls, Chiclets Adams, Bublicious, Trident, Bubbaloo, Certs y Club Social. Esto no es una huelga, sino una lucha sindical para reclamar el derecho al trabajo. Las paredes de la fábrica se encuentran llenos de carteles en que denuncian a la multinacional, que llaman al boicot de sus productos y al reintegro de los trabajadores. Denuncian, en fuertes términos, lo que llaman una “Masacre Laboral” en contra de los trabajadores. Un obrero comenta que “esto es una masacre laboral, porque con este cierre, unilateral, fraudulento, nos han cortado nuestros proyectos de vida, nuestra estabilidad. Por ejemplo, yo iba a comprar una vivienda y ahora el banco me ha rechazado el préstamo. Son muchas las afectaciones que los obreros estamos sufriendo solamente por la codicia de una multinacional que nos ve como máquinas viejas que pueden desechar cuando ya les han sacado todo el uso que podían”. read full story / add a comment

Once again the radical left petite bourgeoisie has failed. This is not particular to Greece. It is a general tendency of struggles in many other social formations as well, wherever the petite bourgeoisie instead of the working class is leading the struggle. One lesson to learn is that whenever we persist in hoping that something positive will come from petite bourgeois leadership, however radical they might seem, THE RESULT WILL BE THE SAME: A TOTAL CAPITULATION TO CAPITAL. read full story / add a comment

Por Bruno Lima Rocha La reaproximación entre Estados Unidos y Cuba, con la reanudación de las relaciones diplomáticas entre los dos países, está concluyendo una etapa de la geopolítica de América Latina, que se remonta a la Guerra Fría. La victoria de la Revolución Cubana abrió en nuestro continente una ventana de posibilidades de cambio, resultando en un vendaval revolucionario de tres décadas. Aún tenemos fuerzas insurgentes latinoamericanas, como el ELN y la FARC colombianas, y el EZLN y EPR de México, pero tal accionar está muy distante del que hubo hasta la rendición y armisticio de las guerrillas centro-americanas en la mitad de la década de 1990.
