En la mañana del día miércoles 16 de enero centenares de unidades del Escuadrón Móvil Anti disturbios -ESMAD- en compañía de civiles, desalojaron violentamente a 10 familias que desde el 14 de mayo de 2012 ocupaban el predio conocido como “La Filigrana” ubicada en el Municipio de Cajibío. Las familias afectadas manifestaron que en la acción inicio hacia las 6 de la mañana, cuando el Esmad y los particulares ingresaron a las casas, “se llevaron las tejas de zinc, el alambre, dañaron los cultivos, quemaron los ranchos con todo lo que había dentro. La coordinadora Luchar, durante las agitadas jornadas de movilización del 2011, irrumpió con fuerza en las distintas facultades de la Universidad de Chile, empujando desde abajo en la lucha por una educación al servicio del pueblo y la clase trabajadora. En las elecciones de la FECH de ese mismo año, Luchar marcó un hito, al llevar nuevamente -después de más de 80 años- a un libertario a la mesa directiva de la federación. En aquella oportunidad, Felipe Ramírez logró ocupar el cargo de Secretario General, al obtener la lista la tercera mayoría. En la actualidad este espacio de convergencia de la izquierda de intención revolucionaria se encuentra conformado por diferentes grupos y colectivos, tales como el Frente de Estudiantes Libertarios-FEL (organización que además tiene una presencia a nivel nacional), el Colectivo Praxis, el Colectivo Aukamapu, la Izquierda Comunista, Actuar Colectivo, Colectivo Raíz y estudiantes independientes. Esta plataforma concibe que la Educación debe ser “liberadora, transformadora, democrática y vinculada a las diversas expresiones de los actores que componen nuestros pueblos y comunidades respectivas”. Además, ha impulsado la unidad con otros espacios de lucha del pueblo, tales como sindicatos y organizaciones populares de diversa índole. En las recientes elecciones de la federación Luchar dio una grata sorpresa al obtener la vicepresidencia, relegando al tercer lugar a la coalición Juventudes Comunistas-Concertación. Fabián Araneda, estudiante de quinto año de Periodismo, es quien ocupará el cargo de vicepresidente. Joven de extracción popular, ha vivido desde siempre en varias poblaciones de la comuna de Pedro Aguirre Cerda, y además de cursar estudios superiores, también trabaja hace 2 años en el Canal del Fútbol. On last Thursday, FSA rebels advanced into Kurdish and Christian neighborhoods in Aleppo, Syria, in a daring attempt to capture the city. Initial reports based on FSA claims and somebody’s friend who spoke to someone in Aleppo on the phone had the rebels taking 90 percent of the city and cooperating with Kurdish militias, but less than a day later these claims were revealed to be false. read full story / add a comment

A lot of the Israeli activists in the joint struggle with Palestinian popular initiative were skeptical about the contribution of the Anarchist Against the Wall initiative. They fail to see its contribution to recruiting and encouraging the less radical Israelis into initiating and/or participating in joint actions with Palestinians. They fail to see the contribution and legitimization of the struggle in the world arena; they fail to see the contribution for publicity - both within Israeli mainstream media and the world (Fife Brocken Cameras nominee for Oscar), and most of all the creation of a security net that prevents Israel from suppressing the popular struggle in a bloodbath and the mass arrest of Palestinian activists. France, the former slave power of west Africa, has poured into Mali with a vengeance in a military attack launched on January 11. French warplanes are bombing towns and cities across the vast swath of northern Mali, a territory measuring some one thousand kilometers from south to north and east to west. French soldiers in armoured columns have launched a ground offensive, beginning with towns in the south of the northern territory, some 300 km north and east of the Malian capital of Bamako. A French armoured convoy entered Mali several days ago from neighbouring Ivory Coast, another former French colony. French troops spearheaded the overthrow of that country's government in 2011. The invasion has received universal support from France's imperialist allies. The U.S., Canada and Europe are assisting financially and with military transport. Bab al-Shams (la porta del sole) ha segnato un passo in avanti nelle azioni dirette non-armate organizzate dal comitato unitario dei comitati popolari dei villaggi coinvolti. I partiti politici che sostengono marginalmente la lotta non sono riusciti da tempo a cooptarla. La creatività del comitato unitario si è manifestata ad un livello superiore in questa azione, costringendo lo Stato israeliano a venir meno alle sue pretese di legge ed ordine, ad agire contro la sua stessa Alta Corte ed a distruggere il campeggio. I media mondiali sono stati nuovamente "arruolati" per promuovere la lotta non violenta contro l'occupazione. In ogni villaggio in cui si sono tenute le manifestazioni settimanali, alcuni attivisti sono stati tenuti nelle retrovie per garantire il prosieguo della lotta unitaria.
