Less than three weeks to the Israeli elections, the settler colonialists are raising the level of belligerence with state forces restraining... the Palestinians and increasing harassment. The international imperial powers are refraining from restraining Israel, waiting for the post-election era. The Palestinian elite is "holding its breath" and restraining the unarmed third Intifada it criticizes in the open. The approaching international pressure - both formal and non-formal - is making the Israeli elite very uneasy, like a person who is riding a tiger and fears for his life, thinking what will happen when he gets off. En los últimos días se han sucedido una serie de saqueos en distintos puntos del país (Bariloche, Rosario, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Cipolletti, Esquel, Viedma entre otras ciudades), con un saldo de cuatro muertos y varios centenares de detenidos. Estos hechos han despertado los más diversos cruces entre sectores del oficialismo y la oposición pero, más allá de las acusaciones y de posibles instigadores, lo primero que hay que señalar es que para que los saqueos se produzcan tienen que existir condiciones sociales de extrema necesidad entre los sectores que los protagonizan. La situación, por supuesto, no es la de 2001. Pero aunque en una dimensión significativamente menor que en aquel entonces, el hambre y la miseria han persistido y vuelven a crecer en las barriadas más humildes. read full story / add a comment

Malgré la répression, les journaliers maintiennent leur occupation et diversifient leur action. It was not a sudden eruption as the previous Intifadas'' uprisings. It is a gradual increasing of activities interwoven with the increased world wide involvement with the B.D.S. calls to boycott Israel. The Israeli security forces focus the threats and warning of the anarchists against the wall activists about our contribution to the de-legitimizing of Israel. The extreme right Israelis who sense the increasing pressures on the prime minister who tend to yield when pressure is too high, shift their support to the more to the right (and principled) party. The activities for the cleansing transfer of Palestinians from the choicest areas continue even when some steps are curtailed due to resistance and international pressure. Se cumplen 11 años de uno de los levantamientos más importantes ocurridos en la Argentina del que podamos tener memoria, desde la última dictadura militar. Para muchxs de los compañeros y compañeras organizadas en la FOB esta fecha trae recuerdos incluso muy anteriores al 19 y 20, recuerdos de luchas, movilizaciones, protestas y cortes de ruta, allá por finales de los 90 y comienzos del 2000, cuando comenzó a oírse venir desde lejos, por lo bajo pero con mucha fuerza el YA BASTA!! de lxs de abajo. Porque no queríamos más mentiras, porque no queríamos seguir siendo lxs excluidxs del mapa, porque los políticos, los partidos, los empresarios y los poderosos de la clase dominante en general seguían empujándonos hacia afuera y pisoteándonos hacia abajo, con hambre, con desocupación, con desidia, con violencia y con represión. read full story / add a comment
