During the years, the joint struggle against the separation fence and occupation has brought some successes, forcing the Israeli state to retreat a bit from initial steps of using the separation fence to annex Palestinian lands for colonialist settlements. However, the persistent struggles in Bil'in and in the nearby Ni'lin were in the focus of the media [and the intensive participation of this writer over the last six years.] Thus, with huge satisfaction we have seen the beginning of the move of the separation fence in Bil'in and the media report on it and the coming move of the fence in Ni'lin. The relentless joint struggle continues in the heroic Nabi Salih, in the persistent Ma'sara, in Beit Ummar, in the Southern Hebron mountain region, in East Jerusalem, and within Israel. Palestina/Israele: sembra una sorta di routine che potrebbe continuare per anni, ma l'avvicinarsi di settembre è nella mente di tutti gli attivisti coinvolti. Report del 14.06.11: Settimana dopo settimana... a volte giorno dopo giorno, la lotta prosegue. Sono quasi dimenticati gli anni senza lotte unitarie e senza solidarietà vivente, senza speranza di vedere giorni migliori. Le ferite e gli arresti non hanno fermato il popolo. I gas inalanti per tutti funzionano meglio di un "calumet della pace". Questa settimana, oltre ai soliti posti, siamo stati anche alle manifestazioni a Kfar Malik, Biddu, at-Tuwani, e Shuqba. It seems a routine that will continue for years to come, but the approaching September is in the mind of all involved. The naZionist settler colonialist project is continuing as if nothing changed but it is not so. The struggle continue every week end and in the week days too. In addition to Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Nabi Saleh, Ma'asara, Beit Ummar, Southern Hebron hills, the Jordan valley, East Jerusalem (Silwan, Sheikh Jarrah) and within 1948 borders: Arakib, Lod-Ramla, Jaffa, a new struggle front opened in Dir Quadis (located between Bil'in and Ni'ilin). Week after week... sometimes day after day, the joint struggle continues. The years with no joint struggles, with no lively solidarity and no hope for better days will soon be nearly forgotten. People injured and arrested are not deterred. The inhalation of tear gas together functions stronger than any "ceremonial peace pipe". This week, in addition to the usual locations we also participated in the demonstrations in Kufer Malek, Biddu, at-Tuwani, and Shuqba. Il sentimento dell'immanente avvicinarsi del disastro delle spoglie della guerra del 1967 inizia a colorare la lotta unitaria con uno speciale aroma primaverile. Sembra che persino le punture dei gas lacrimogeni ed il male inflitto dai proiettili di gomma, dai manganelli e dalle granate di gas siano meno dolorosi. Persino il putrido odore dell'acqua fetida ("Il puzzo di Israele") sembra non appestarci più come in passato. I media e persino i politici di stato menzionano sempre di più le nostre lotte almeno come parziale causa dei loro problemi. L'inconsistenza dei loro atti repressivi esprime la loro disperazione negli sforzi intrapresi per mettere fine alla lotta unitaria in una zona sensibile per i media internazionali. The feeling of the nearing immanent disaster of the 1967 war spoils start to color the joint struggle with a special Spring aroma. It seems that even the sting of the tear gas and the pains from rubber coated bullet, batons and tear gas missiles are a bit milder. Even the putrid smell of the skunkish water ("The Smell of Israel") is not stinking so much as in the past. The media and even the state politicians mention our struggles more and more as responsible at least in part to their problems. The inconsistency in their repression steps, express their helplessness in their efforts to put end to the joint struggle restricted by the arena being open to international media. Il canale televisivo Arutz 2 ha fatto vedere in un lungo e serio servizio la brutalità delle forze di Stato, ha fatto vedere il coinvolgimento eroico di bambini, giovani, donne, uomini e degli anarchici israeliani nella lotta del piccolo villaggio di Nabi Salih, che oggi simbolizza la lotta delle altre 10 località della lotta popolare unitaria, infine il servizio conclude che la propaganda israeliana è stata ormai sconfitta... ed è già cominciata la terza Intifada. Ancora un'altra settimana di attività della lotta unitaria contro il muro della separazione e contro l'occupazione. L'imminente disastro che incombe sui capi politici dello stato nazi-sionista si esprime nell'intensificarsi della brutalità degli attacchi contro i palestinesi e gli attivisti che li sostengono. Gradualmente, la lotta unitaria in piccoli villaggi come Nabi Salih sta ottenendo maggiore attenzione da parte dei media. Sia Ummar che Nabi Salih, dove la lotta è soprattutto contro il progressivo radicarsi del vicino insediamento coloniale e contro il furto della terra dei villaggi palestinesi, sono vittime di una crescente repressione da parte delle forze dello Stato israeliano. Channel 2 TV long and serious item exposed the brutality of the state forces, show the heroic involvement of children, youth, women, men and the Israeli anarchists in the struggle of the tinny village of Nabi Saleh. They bring it as the most prominent of the other 10 main locations of joint popular struggles, and conclude that it has already defeated the Israeli propaganda... and started the third Intifada. In the morning we arrived at the Ofer compound, one of the many luxurious compounds built for the comfort of over 6000 Palestinian prisoners currently being held by Israel. The compound contains a huge prison and a military court in which Palestinian prisoners, young and old are judged by Israeli military officers. ---- Here there is no racism or discrimination, because here everybody without exception has the right to an unjust trial. -- At the entrance to the military court there are two cages, a small one for those arriving from the Israeli side and a bigger one where Palestinian detainee’s families are waiting. -- Some of them have been through a long and expensive journey in order to get here and meet their loved ones, be it for just a few minutes. read full story / add a comment

La giornata della Nakba non è stata solo la commemorazione di quel giorno del 1948 in cui le organizzazioni sioniste conquistarono la maggior parte della Palestina e deportarono la maggior parte dei residenti palestinesi. E' stata anche una settimana di espansione delle lotte contro l'occupazione del 1967, contro il sacco della Palestina del 1948 e contro le continue deportazioni dei suoi abitanti. Le forze di stato hanno aumentato l'intensità della repressione contro le programmate manifestazioni nelle località della lotta unitaria in cui gli anarchici contro il muro si uniscono agli attivisti palestinesi - Bil'in, Beit Ummar, Ni'lin, Nabi Salih, Al-Ma'sara e a livello regionale a Qalandiya. Just another week of activities of the joint struggle against the separation fence and occupation. The imminent disaster the naZionist state leaders expect to occur after September is finding its expression in the escalation of the brutality of attacks on the Palestinians and the activists who join them. Gradually, the persistent struggle of the small village of Nabi Salih is getting more and more attention from the media. Both Beit Ummar and Nabi Salih, where the struggle is against the progressive encroachment of neighboring colonial settlement and the progressive robbery of village lands, are receiving harsher repression by the Israeli State forces. The Nakba day was not just a commemoration day of the 1948 conquest of most of Palestine by the Zionist organization and the transfer of most of the Palestinian inhabitant. It was a week of escalation of the struggle against the 1967 occupation and the 1948 robbery of Palestine and the continuous transfer of its inhabitants. The state forces increased the intensity of repression in the regular weekend locations of joint struggle where the anarchists against the wall join the Palestinian activists - Bil'in, Beit Ommar, Ni'ilin, Nabi Saleh, Al-Ma'asara, and the regional one in Qalandia. The compromise between Fatah and Hamas ended the split the weekly demonstrations protested against. 6 anni di lotta unitaria a Bil'in che hanno ispirato i villaggi di Ni'ilin, Ma'sara, Beit Ummar, e Nabi Salih, e secondo alcuni anche l'idea della terza intifada. Ed in Israele hanno favorito l'adesione dei sionisti di sinistra alle azione dirette contro l'occupazione e contro gli sgomberi sia a Gerusalemme est occupata (soprattutto Sheikh Jarrah e Silwan) sia all'interno dei confini del 1948 nella regione di Lod, nella Taibe e a fianco dei Beduini del sud. La conferenza annuale internazionale a Bil'in ha registrato una integrazione delle lotte ed un bilancio politico favorevole per i dirigenti della Cisgiordania (il cui sostegno alle lotte in corso è più che altro verbale). Le forze di Stato israeliane hanno espresso la loro disapprovazione in molti modi, ma la loro inconsistenza ed i frequenti cambiamenti tattici stanno a dimostrare che hanno perso il bandolo della matassa. Sembra che le cose vadano come sempre... ma non è quasi mai così. Le rivolte delle masse arabe in tutta la regione e l'intervento dell'ONU sulla Palestina in settembre, creano un po' di ottimismo. Gradualmente aumenta il numero di attivisti israeliani che aderiscono alla lotta unitaria a Beit Ummar, Bil'in, Ramallah, Gerusalemme-Al Quds (Sheikh Jarrah, Silwan) Lod-Ramla-Dahamash, Ma'sara, Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, Tel Aviv/Jaffa, Wad Rahal ed altre località. The sixth year of joint struggle of Bil'in that inspired the Palest5inian Ni'ilin, Ma'asara, Beit Ommar, and Nabi Saleh, and some say also the idea of the third Intifada. And in Israel it facilitated the joining of radical Zionist to direct actions against the occupation and transfer both in occupied East Jerusalem (Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan mainly) and within the 1948 borders in the Lod region, In Taibe and with the Bedouins of the south. The yearly international conference in Bil'in enabled integration of struggles and drawing political profits by leaders of the west bank (whose support of the ongoing struggle is mainly verbal only). The Israeli state forces express their disapproval in many ways but their inconsistency and frequent change in suppression tactics show they are still with out a clue.
