En la noche del pasado 16 de septiembre de 2020 en la ciudad de Tesalónica, Grecia, durante una intervención social en la cual antifascistas borraban y reemplazaban, colectivamente, mensajes de odio pintados días antes por miembros del nuevo partido neonazi “Griegos por la Patria” (Έλληνες για την Πατρίδα) – partido fundado por Ilias Kasidiaris, exrepresentante del partido nazi griego “Amanecer Dorado” (Χρυσή Αυγή) - , un grupo grande de policías, quienes arribaron a las 22 horas y media, rodearon y atacaron a los/as activistas presentes, capturando como resultado a 51 personas. Los/as capturados fueron puestos en custodia en el cuartel general de la policía de Tesalónica, y retenidos en las más deplorables condiciones de 2 a 4 días. En total, 15 de los/as antifascistas resultaron heridos/as, mientras dos de los activistas terminaron, incluso, en el hospital, debido a la gravedad de las heridas causadas por la policía. Tanto durante el arresto, como bajo custodia, la policía no cesó de provocar y abusar de su poder – poder que le otorga el Estado – con el propósito de amedrentar a nuestros/as camaradas. read full story / add a comment

In the evening of 16/9/2020 at Thessaloniki, Greece, during a social intervention, anti-fascists were collectively erasing fascist hate slogans and graffiti, which were written a few days earlier by members of the new neo-Nazi party “Greeks for Fatherland” (Έλληνες για την Πατρίδα) - founded by Ilias Kassidiaris, an ex-representative of the Nazi party “Golden Dawn” (Χρυσή Αυγή) – and replacing them by antifascist graffiti instead. Around 10:30 PM our comrades were surrounded by a large group of police forces that attacked them without reason. Fifty-one comrades were taken into custody to the Police General Headquarters in Thessaloniki and kept there 2 to 4 days under the most deplorable conditions. In total, fifteen of them were injured while another two were even admitted to the hospital due to the heavy injuries caused by the police officers involved in the attack. Both during the arrest and under custody, the police did not cease to provoke and abuse their power - the ability to rule and control given to them by the state -, attempting to break the spirit of our comrades. read full story / add a comment |
