We knew it will not be nice, but we could not guess how brutal and mindless it will be. We planed and prepared during the weeks and when the time was known - we prepared for a reciprocal actions. The surprise and the shock we experienced when got the news on the piracy on the high sea of Israel - in international water - about 150 kilometer from the shore of Gaza. The joint struggle continue and so is the declaration in public of the discontent of the state forces aroused by our participation in it. This Friday the anarchists against the wall initiative mobilized about 130 Israelis to the demonstrations at Bil'in, Jerusalem (Sheikh Jarrah), Ma'asara (south Bethlehem), Nabi Saleh (west of Ramalla), and Ni'ilin. Many of the participants in noon demos at Bil'in, Ma'asara, and Nabi Saleh continued to the late afternoon demo in Sheikh Jarrah. In spite of the increased threats in the media, the state repression was not at its height. read full story / add a comment

The lesser radical Israeli left involvement in the joint struggle against the separation fence and other aspects of occupation expand - both in Sheikh Jarrah and other places. The dignitaries of the Palestinian authority do so too... but with internal conflicts. It was expressed in a few hours arrest of a leader of the popular struggle in the south by the Palestinian authority police, after a joint action at Beit Omar. More than hundred people were mobilized on Friday by the anarchists against the wall initiative to the demonstrations at Bil'in, Ma'asara, Nebi-Saleh,Ni'ilin, and Sheikh-Jarrah. Saturday and Sunday we were in south of the west bank of occupied Palestinian. Saturday at Beit Omar and on Sunday we mark the end of the weekend in a demonstration in Beit Jalla. During the week, the media continued daily to refer to the expanding non-armed Palestinian struggle, and the role of Anarchists Against the Wall and other Israeli radicals (nearly always referring to Bil'in fifth yearly anniversary). The state force efforts to prevent us from coming to the joint struggles was criticized - may be this was the reason they did not try it this Friday. Though some scheduled activities were canceled because of the heavy rains (Ma'asara, Beit Umar) other activities did not yield to the whether: Bil'in, Hebron, Nebi Salih, Ni'ilin, Tel Aviv. Some said the third Intifada - this time non-armed, already started... Some were only afraid it may start. read full story / add a comment

The weekend activity expand in spite of increased repression by state forces. Increased repression in Bil'in and She Nabi Saleh did not deter the joint struggle as it did not succeeded in Ni'ilin. In Sheikh Jarrah the transfer/eviction of Palestinian families replacing them by settlers resulted in protracted struggle in the week days for months and expanding demonstrations on Fridays. The efforts of police to put end to the Friday demonstrations back fired and even the more radical circles of the Zionist left joined us this Friday. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

The struggle in Sheikh Jarah during the week intensify and number of participants in Friday demonstration there more than doubled... in spite of rainy whether. Other villages like Krayut, Nizaam, and Shuqba, invite us to join their struggles against aspects of the occupation. Bil'in, the prominent flag of the non violent popular struggle still suffer along the week "visits" and harassments of the various Israeli occupation forces. Ma'asara, and Ni'ilin still persist in struggle. Refusnics struggle continued too. The "hungry" settler colonialist aspect of Zionism backed by Israeli High court of "justice" protection of land ownership of pre 1948 era in Sheikh Jarah, put back on the focus of the agenda the theft of Palestinian parts and Jerusalem neighborhoods at 1948. This week the struggle around the transfer from Sheikh Jarrad neighborhood (east Jerusalem) become more intensive and got lot of media attention. Activists from Tel Aviv reinforced during the week Jerusalem comrades and internationals. On Friday the mobilization to Sheikh Jarrah involved in addition to activists of Jerusalem, comrades attending an hour earlier demonstrations in Bil'in, Ma'asara, and human rights demo in Tel Aviv. The Wednesday struggle in Ni'ilin, was a bit less intense after a high concrete wall was built along the main part of the separation fence. It was the first time state forces did not use shooting of bullets and used only tear gas. In Bil'in, in spite of the arrest of the head of the popular comity (we demonstrated against it on Thursday in TA) we had Friday demonstration and tear gas as usual. Because of the Muslim holy day of Id al Adha, the regular Friday joint demonstrations against the separation fence and occupation in the village Ni'ilin (west of Bil'in) and Ma'asara (south of Bethlehem) were canceled. However, in Bil'in, the nearly five years chain was never broken... The Israeli state efforts to transfer Palestinian from the occupied east Jerusalem never stop and so was the joint demonstration against the escalation of transfer steps. The refusnics struggle and that of the "guest workers" were less prominent this week. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

This week, the struggle of the Anarchists Against the Wall initiative was mainly in the "trinity" of Bil'in, Ni'ilin, and Ma'asara. About 60 were mobilized with us - mainly from the Tel Aviv region. The frustrated Palestinian official leadership contemplated in public the expansion of the Bili'n and Ni'ilin stile of nonviolent struggle as a third Intifada in the whole occupied west bank. It seems, the Israeli secrete services who were aware on the contemplation of this option, were desperate enough to try during the last few months - with out success, to stop the Bil'in example with their series of night arrests of the main activists of the popular comity of village. The other struggles - like the refusnic front and that of Sheikh Jarrah transfer were less prominent. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

[English] read full story / add a comment

Yesterday in the joint Friday demonstration against the separation fence and occupation, a tear gas missile shot directly to the chest of Basem Ibrahim Abo-Rahmeh - while standing between two Israeli activists of the Anarchists against the Wall, caused fatal injury. He died on the way to hospital. The tear gas missile which is a military weapon for the range of four hundred meters, is the same one nearly murdered a month ago Tristan Anderson in a demonstration against the separation fence in Ni'ilin. - For years, the Israeli state force use the demonstrations as experimental field for police weapons for dispersing crowds. Lately they also use them for the testing of the military tear gas missile also used in the last Gaza war. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

It is about 73 years since the first Palestinian uprising of 1936-9 against the plot to allocate the two sides of the Jordan for the Zionist project. It is already 60 years since 75% of the Palestinian lands west of the Jordan were "allocated" to the Israeli state. It is around 41 years after the 1967 war in which Israel conquered the remaining 25% of Palestine... but the tide seems to change. On the end of the fourth year of the joined struggle in Bil'in against the separation fence - which was supposed to ensure the robbery of at least half of the 25% taken in 1967, it seems the Israelian Zionists start to accept that they will never take all Palestine for themselves. ... And the joint struggle in Bil'in, Ni'ilin, and Um Salmuna continue. read full story / add a comment
