On Monday and Tuesday, Israeli and international activists joined residents of Ni’ilin, Beit Liqya and Jayyous, in events commemorating Land Day, a date on which Palestinians remember victims of a general strike called by Arabs living in Israel on March 30, 1976, in protest of massive land confiscations - which left six Arab citizens dead and hundreds injured and imprisoned). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMXhkC5bj64 Ni'ilin Monday Land Day video. Il 28 marzo, gli Anarchici Contro Il Muro hanno partecipato ad una riunione organizzativa a Biddu riguardo le restrizioni di movimento imposte ai contadini che devono andare sulle loro terre al di là del muro. Durante la settimana e pure questo sabato i nostri compagni hanno partecipato alla lotta nella regione di Gerusalemme, soprattutto nella zona di Silwan. Venerdì abbiamo avuto una partecipazione speciale alla manifestazione contro il muro della separazione in onore di Tristan che sta ancora lottando contro la morte in ospedale. Saturday, AAtW activists participated in an organization meeting in Biddu concerning the movement restrictions on farmers from getting to their land beyond the fence. During the week and this Saturday too our comrades participated in the extended Jerusalem struggle in Silwan mainly. On Friday we had a special recruitment for the demonstration against the separation fence to honor Tristan who is still fighting for his life in hospital. This Fridy comrades also participated in the Um Salmuna (south of Bethlehem) and Bil'in. [Italiano]

The week began with the morning joint action of the AAtW with the villagers of Ras-Tira - neighbors of Wadi Rasha of the previous week. At the evening The Anarchists Against the Wall initiative with part of the radical left demonstrated in front of the war ministry compound in Tel Aviv the murderous attack on Tristan Anderson in Ni'ilin. During the week AAtW activists joined the struggle against eviction of Palestinians in the expanded Jerusalem and in Jafa too. Friday, we participated as usual in the demonstration against the separation fence in Bil'in (the 213th), Ni'ilin, Um Salmuna, and Jaayous. Saturday we were invited to a meeting in Bidu - one of the first to struggle against the separation fence, in relation to the restrictions of crossing to their lands on the other side of it. read full story / add a comment

La lotta unitaria a Wadi Rasha è ripresa domenica 8 marzo. Dopo tanto tempo sono ritornate le truppe israeliane sui pendii dei monti dove passa il percorso del muro. Cinque attivisti israeliani ed internazionali sono stati fermati. Sono stati rilasciati dietro cauzione poche ore dopo col divieto di rimettere piede in Samaria per i prossimi 15 giorni. Venerdì siamo stati alla classica manifestazione a Bil'in, Ni'ilin, ed Um Salmuna. A Bilin, a fianco dei locali, degli internazionali e degli Anarchici Contro Il Muro c'era anche un contingente di donne attiviste del PFLP per celebrare la giornata della donna. I media hanno parlato di 400 partecipanti a Ni'ilin, e di un attivista USA gravemente ferito alla testa da una bomboletta di gas lacrimogeno ed operato d'urgenza al cervello. The joint struggle in Wadi Rasha resumed Sunday, After a long waiting on the slope of the mountain where the route of the separation fence in built, Israeli state forces came. They detained 5 of us - Internationals and Israelis. They were released on bail few hours later - barred from returning to the Shomron for the coming two weeks. Friday we had the usual demonstrations in Bil'in, Ni'ilin, and Um Salmuna. In Bilin we had besides the locals, the internationals and the Anarchists Against the Wall we had also a contingent of women activists of the PFLP celebratin the women day. In Ni'ilin media reported on 400 participants, and head injury of a US activist by a tear gas canister - in emergency brain operation. Tristan is on life support. His head injury was severe and the surgeons had to removed a part of his frontal lobe. It looks like he'll remain in a coma for as long as he survives. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

Questa settimana c'è stata una escalation nelle incursioni verso le case dei palestinesi. Soprattutto a Isawia ma anche a Giaffa. Un altro villaggio si è unito alla lotta contro il muro della separazione - Wadi Rasha - e Beit Jaala ha ripreso la lotta. Venerdì siamo stati regolarmente alle manifestazioni di Bil'in, Ni'ilin e Um Salmuna contro il muro della separazione. Il villaggio di Wadi Rasha ha invitato i delegati di Anarchici Contro il Muro per un incontro a cui è seguita il 4 marzo la prima azione. Ad Um Salmuna la manifestazione del 6 marzo è stata più intensa del solito grazie alla partecipazione di un cospicuo contingente del fronte democratico (soprattutto donne). This week there was an escalation in the harassing of Palestinian houses. Mainly in Isawia but also in Jaffa. A new village joined the struggle against the separation fence - Wadi Rasha, and Bait Jaala resumed the struggle. Friday we were at the usual Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Um Salmuna demonstrations against the separation fence. Wadi Rasha (Ras Tira) invited AAtW delegates for a meeting and following it - on Wednesday, the first action was taken. In Um Salmuna the demonstration this Friday was much bigger than the usual ones as significant contingent of the democratic front (mostly women) joined us. [Italiano] read full story / add a comment

La pioggia non ha cancellato la manifestazione del venerdì a Bil'in, Jayyous, e Ni'ilin contro il muro della separazione e contro l'occupazione. Alcuni hanno aderito alla manifestazione a Silwan, nella cintura di Gerusalemme, contro lo sgombero delle famiglie palestinesi. A Bil'in, il tema della manifestazione è stato: "solidarietà con i residenti di Silwan e sostegno per l'unità nazionale". The rain did not cancel the Friday demonstration against the separation fence and occupation at Bil'in, Jayyous, and Ni'ilin. Few joined the demonstration in Silwan, at the enlarged Jerusalem area, against transfer of Palestinian families. In Bil'in, the theme of the demonstration was: "solidarity with Silwan Residents and support for national unity". Oltre alla preparazione per l'anniversario dei 4 anni di manifestazioni del venerdì a Bil'in, gli Anarchici Contro Il Muro hanno "visitato" Ni'ilin il 16, 17 e 20 febbraio. Venerdì, più di 100 israeliani della coalizione contro il muro della separazione si sono uniti agli Anarchici Contro il Muro per dar vita insieme agli attivisti internazionali ed a centinaia di palestinesi del villaggio e di altre regioni (compresa una delegazione da Ni'ilin) alla manifestazione. In addition to the preparation for the 4 years anniversary of the Friday demonstration in Bil'in, AAtW activists "visited" Ni'ilin on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. On Friday more than a hundred Israelis of the coalition against the separation fence came with the anarchists against the wall initiative, and joined international activists and hundreds Palestinians from the village and other regions (including a delegation from Ni'ilin). La guerra è finita... ma non per le vittime di Gaza. The war is over... but not for the victims in Gaza. Also not over for the people arrested in Israel (mostly Palestinian citizens) who are on bail, waiting for the call to appear in court on bogus charges. Fund raising all over the world is being carried out to cover the lawyers' fees and bail for the Anarchists Against the Wall activists and our Palestinian partners in the joint demonstrations and actions. Wednesday we participated in the demonstration against the separation fence in Ni'ilon and visited there the Holocaust exhibition http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3662608,00.html in the municipality building. On Friday we participated in the usual demonstrations against the separation fence in Bil'in, Ni'ilin, and Um Salmuna. In Bil'in we had a reinforcement support from the leftist Palestinian Front of struggle. We also had a second wave headed by three local women that brought us up to the electronic fence. In Um Salmuna the local comity dared to lead the demonstration to the local highway - going around the unprepared state force road block. A high ranking commander detained a member of the village comity and the I.D.s of participants confiscated.
