Scorso venerdì a Bil'in - alla 426a manifestazione a cui ho preso parte - eravamo più di 400. Come al solito ci hanno sparato addosso lacrimogeni, parte dei quali ho dovuto scansare perché piovevano proprio dove mi trovavo. Così come il resto dei candelotti. Ora, sulla mia sedia davanti al computer vengo preso dal pensiero che io, i tanti attivisti israeliani di Anarchici Contro il Muro e gli altri che partecipano alla lotta unitaria ci siamo abituati ad essere sparati settimana dopo settimana. Last Friday in Bil'in - the 426th demo of which I have participated in more than 400. As usual we were shot at with tear gas grenades and canisters, part of which I had to evade as they were shot in my direction. Part of the tear gas of the others I mostly evaded too. Now, on my chair in front of the computer I am taunted with the thought that I and scores of Israeli activists of the Anarchists Against the Wall initiative and others who participate in the joint struggle just got used to being shot at week after week. Some who are less lucky or less agile have taken more punishment than me... The Israeli media is used to it too, reporting on the shooting and us and the Palestinian partners as if it is just the weather. The banality of evil is the prevailing character of Israel these days, reminding more and more people of places and occurrences of other countries in other times. In spite of the reluctance of the Palestinian ruling elite, the third Intifada is collecting momentum. In Hebron, pictures of the yearly Shuhada joint action show a chain of Palestinian Authority soldiers blocking the Palestinian demonstrators from clashing with the Israeli state forces. However, the general mounting tension, the long hunger striking prisoners, the initiatives of the popular committees... and the Israeli "punishments" together with settler colonialist terror actions are feeding the gradual escalation. It is not sure yet if it will explode like a powder keg which got a spark or just escalate gradually. The regular locations of joint weekend struggle persist with some new ones, not yet regular. Si stanno intensificando gli sforzi dei coloni israeliani per sgomberare i Palestinesi - sia all'interno dei precedenti confini del 1948 che in quelli più recenti del 1967. Sotto la pressione dello Stato israeliano, per togliergli le terre residue e per trasferirli altrove, si trovano i Beduini a cui è rimasto solo il 5% delle terre che avevano prima del 1948. The Israeli settler colonialist efforts to transfer Palestinians - both within the older 1948 borders and in the new 1967 ones - is intensifying. The Bedouins who remained with only 5% of their pre-1948 lands are suffering from the state's efforts to take their remaining lands and transfer them to a few locations. The (joint) struggle is focused on al-Araqeeb village, which has been demolished nearly 50 times in the past two years. In the 1967 occupied regions, the transfer efforts are in area "C" - mainly near the colonialist settlements in the south and in the Jordan valley, areas Israel is planning to annex even when it will be forced to retreat from most of the 1967 occupation. However, the energies of the popular struggle are around the issue of the partial hunger strike of administrative detainees rearrested after they were released in accordance with the agreement to release Gilad Shalit. La tattica dell'azione diretta con le tendopoli continua insieme agli internazionali, ma con appoggio israeliano solo tramite i media e la solidarietà. La dura intensificazione della repressione si esprime più tramite la demolizione delle case che negli scontri diretti, ma anche nelle manifestazioni del venerdì abbiamo potuto sperimentare un inasprimento delle violenze da parte delle forze di stato. Sia sui media israeliani che nella pubblica arena la montante pressione internazionale ed il testardo rifiuto da parte della elite al governo di prenderne atto sta portando ad un imminente disastro. The tactic of tent(s) building direct actions continues with international,s but with Israelis only as media and support. The harsh escalation of suppression is expressed more in house demolitions than in direct action clashes, but even in the Friday demos we experienced an escalation of harassment by the state forces. Both in the Israeli media and the public arena the mounting international pressure and the stubborn refusal of the ruling elite to yield is bringing the aura of imminent disaster. The cracks within the ruling elite are expanding and threatening efforts to invest an increasing part of the national product in the settler colonialist project while recruiting the support of the organized orthodox Jewish parties by increasing benefits to their communities. La lotta unitaria ha preso un nuovo slancio. Domenica 11.11.12, il generale al comando della Cisgiordania centrale ha dichiarato zone militari chiusi per gli attivisti israeliani le aree interessate dalle manifestazioni unitarie del venerdì nei villaggi di Bil'in, Ni'lin, Nabi Saleh e Qaddum. Mercoledì 14, abbiamo lanciato la nostra sfida unendoci all'iniziativa del coordinamento generale del comitati di base locali. La guerra su Gaza è deflagrata mercoledì pomeriggio e gli anarchici contro il muro hanno preso parte alle manifestazioni in varie località di Israele. The joint struggle picked a new momentum. On Sunday 11-11-12 the general commanding the center of the west bank declared the Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Nabi Saleh, and Quaddum locations of joint Friday demos as closed military regions for our activists on Fridays. On Wednesday we expressed our defiance by joining the initiative of the general comity of the local grass root comities. E' un lungo cammino quello fatto dalla prima lotta degli Anarchici contro il muro, iniziata col campeggio di Mas'ha 9 anni fa. La lotta unitaria contro il muro della separazione è proseguita e si è allargata ad altre località e ad altri aspetti dell'occupazione. La lotta si è anche allargata all'interno dei vecchi confini di Israele con la lotta sociale legata al problema degli alloggi ed alla pulizia etnica sia all'interno delle comunità ebraiche che di quelle palestinesi, fino alla lotta sociale più generale contro lo sporco neoliberismo. It has been a long way since the first struggle of the Anarchists Against the Wall started in the Mas'ha camp nine years ago. The joint struggle against the separation fence has persisted and has expanded to other locations and to other aspects of the occupation. The struggle is also expanding inside the old boundaries of Israel to the social struggle of housing problems and gentrification in both Jewish and Palestinian communities, and to the general social struggle against piggish neo-liberalism. The focus of struggle regarding guest worker harassment shifted to the refugees' struggle against persecution, mass arrests and deportation. La terza Intifada lentamente ma inesorabilmente sta cogliendo il momento. Nonostante siano sempre più numerosi gli attivisti israeliani, non riusciamo ad essere presenti in tutte le località in cui siamo invitati. Alcuni villaggi hanno iniziato per conto proprio senza attendere la nostra protezione politica contro la dura repressione. La tensione sta salendo a causa dell'allargarsi della sciopero della fame dei prigionieri palestinesi in detenzione amministrativa. Nessuno sa cosa potrebbe succedere all'indomani della morte di uno dei palestinesi che sono in sciopero della fame, per cui Israele ha deciso di liberarne due. I media rigurgitano di servizi sull'accettazione della Palestina come membro a pieno titolo dell'UNESCO. La felicità per il rilascio di centinaia di prigionieri nello scambio con Gilad Shalit era ancora fresca, ma i coloni aggrediscono con maggiore intensità rispetto agli anni passati i raccoglitori di olive e gli attivisti israeliani che li aiutano, mentre le forze di Stato non mostrano il benché minimo intervento... e soprattutto stanno dalla parte dei coloni. Lotte consistenti a Beit Ummar, Bil'in, Ma'sara, Nabi Salih, Ni'lin, Kafr Qaddum, Sheikh Jarrah, sulle colline a sud di Hebron, al-Walaja. Continua la lotta sociale, nonostante la tendenza dell'organizzazioni studentesca a fare vertenze per questioni specifiche invece di lottare contro lo schifo del neoliberismo quale sistema da abbattere e sostituire. The Media was busy regurgitating the acceptance of Palestine as full member in UNESCO. The happiness for the hundreds released in the Gilad transaction was still fresh, but the settler colonialist onslaught the Palestinian olive pickers and the Israeli activists that joined them was more intense than in previous years but state force had not show more than minimal intervention... and mostly on the side of the settlers. The consistent struggle at Bet Ummar, Bil'in, Ma'asara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'ilin, Qaddum, Sheikh Jarrah, Southern Hebron Hills, Al Walaja. The social struggle continue, in spite the tendency of the student organization to bargain for specific subjects instead of the struggle against the neo-liberalism piggery as a system to replace. Nella prima manifestazione di 2 settimane fa a Tel Aviv, erano circa 30.000 i partecipanti; nella seconda a Tel Aviv, la scorsa settimana, c'erano quasi 100.000 persone e circa 40.000 nel resto del paese. Nella terza manifestazione, sabato 6 agosto, c'erano a Tel Aviv almeno 250.000 persone - la più grande manifestazione mai vista in Israele, a cui aggiungere altre 70.000 persone in tutto il paese. Il sistema capitalista si è sviluppato ad un livello ancora più alto. La concentrazione di capitale e l'abbassamento delle barriere tra i singoli stati capitalisti ha allentato la competizione nazionale ed ha aperto una nuova era. Non più minacce di guerra tra gli Stati o tra blocchi di Stati. Viene meno il bisogno dei capitalisti di assicurarsi la volontà di combattere in guerra da parte degli schiavi salariati. La produzione e persino i servizi si stanno spostando verso i paesi meno sviluppati. The capitalist system has developed to a higher stage. The concentration of capital and the lowering of borders between individual capitalist states has diminished national competition and brought a new era. No more threat of military wars between States and blocs of States. Much less the need of capitalists to ensure the willingness of wage slaves to fight for them in wars. Production and even services are moving to the less-developed countries.
